Amarok now lands his jump and runs off camera for as much of the environment I have built. I will render this out tonight and I will start a run cycle which I will hopefully finish in time to render out tonight as well then put it together for hand in tomorrow.
Thanks for the feedback Phil I've cut the sequence so the camera rotation happens sooner. In terms of your other pointers -
I will work on finishing the jump sequence however there isn't too much room left for him to run seeing as I modelled only what the camera could see. There may be room for two strides in shot but that's it.
After I've done this I will hopefully have time to do a running sequence...(The renders in the icey cavern scene took roughly 4-5 hours to render so hopefully I have the time to get it done for rendering and testing on the televisions)
Through my own sillyness I uploaded the wrong cover and it is kind of blurry and the title doesn't fully fit on the front :( .... but other than that the inside of the book is looking great :D I'm really pleased with them.
Had some help from Aidan and Alan today and it has really made this environment look the way I want it much like the concept! Alan suggested looking into the textures and creating lighting effects in the textures as well to make certain parts of the environment pop out i.e the dropoff of edges.
With business cards in mind I did some illustrations of Amarok which I think would fit well on a business card. The backgrounds are obviously subject to change but was just a little exercise in bringing cheeky Amarok to life
